In order to broaden the students' professional vision and communicate face to face with industry masters, the Film College of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) specially invited Mr Christopher Doyle, the famous cinematographer, to the Changlin Road Campus to give a wonderful lecture to the students. The lecture was held in the Standard Screening Hall onthe STA Changlin Road Campus, and itwas also the first time that this Standard Screening Hall had been officially put into use, thus having a special significance.
Christopher Doyle put forward the most sincere suggestions to the students: "Students, the most important thing is that you have expectations for yourself, communicate with your friends, realize these ideals and dreams, present them, and give them a possibility of existence. Remember, you should not learn movies from movies, but learn movies from life. Live for life, and then make movies."
Finally, Huang Changyong, President of Shanghai Theatre Academy, wrapped up the lecture. He said: "It is a kind of fate to haveMr Christopher Doyle here with us. I hope this fate will continue. I hope our students of the Film College can work with teachers at home and abroad to build an even better Film College."
