On 29 June, Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held the “Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China" at the Grand Theater on its Changlin Road campus. STA leaders, teaching and administrative staff, retired personnel and representatives of student party members attended the event. The first half of this event was the commendation conference, which was presided over by Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of STA.
The first was the oath ceremony for new party members. Led by Xie Wei, Party Secretary of STA, the probationary party members accepted in the first half of this year participated in a solemn oath ceremony in front of the bright red party flag. Then, Xie Wei made a speech. In the speech, he put forward the expectations on strengthening the party building in STA.
In the commendation proceedings, Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary of STA, read out the commendation decisions of the Shanghai Municipality, the CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee for Education and Health and the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and announced the names of the award-winning units and individuals. Tang Litu and Yang Yang, vice presidents of STA, and Zhang Jiaxun, Chief Accountant of STA, presented the certificates of honor to the award-winning individuals and the representatives of the award-winning party organizations.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the CPC Central Committee has decided for the first time to award the "50 Years of CPC Membership" commemorative medallion. As of 1 July 2021, a total of 58 party members at Shanghai Theater Academy have reached 50 years of CPC membership. Among them, eight old party members were invited to the event. When the STA leaders put on the commemorative medallions for the old party members one by one, the audience gave warm applause. The representatives of young students presented flowers to the old party members.
The second half of this event was conducted in the form of a singing concert.
