On the evening of 10 June, the Magnolia Awards of the 27th Shanghai TV Festival were announced. Alumni of Shanghai Theatre Academy won two top awards, i.e. Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
Best Actor in a Leading Role: Yu Hewei (for his role as Chen Duxiu in “The Age of Awakening”, who graduated from the Department of Acting of Shanghai Theatre Academy in 1996.
Best Actor in a Supporting Role: You Yongzhi (for his role as Li Dayou in “Minning Town”), who graduated from the Department of Acting of Shanghai Theatre Academy performance in 1988.
