On the evening of 9 June, the movie "Never Stop" supervised and starred by Zheng Kai, an alumni of the Acting Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy, and directed by Han Bowen, an alumni of the Directing Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy, had a grand on-demand screening and a post-screening exchange session at the Changlin Road Campus. This was the opening event of the "STA Film Gala" jointly hosted by the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) and the 24th Shanghai International Film Festival. Han Yongsheng, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Film College, Xiao Xiangning, head of the programming and directing major, and Yang Mo, teacher of the production major, attended the event.
Teachers of the Film College and other colleges, departments and functional offices, students of all majors and all grades of the Film College, alumni of the Acting Department and the Directing Department, and teachers and students from other universities as well as the middle schools around the Pujiang area came together to participate in the event.
After the screening, the main creative team of “Never Stop”, including Zheng Kai, Han Bowen, Li Yunrui and Zhang Lanxin etc, came to the stage in the warm applause of the audience. They interacted with the teachers and students present, and shared the stories behind the movie and their feelings and reflections about the filming of the movie .
Director Han Bowen invited his former classmateMeng Cong, now a teacher of theFilm College, to come to the stage. This brought the sharing and exchange session to a climax. The two former classmates are nowworking hard in the field of film education and film industry respectively, making contributions to the film industry hand in hand.
Happy times lapsed quickly as always. The exchange and sharing session was closed in the warm interaction on and off stage. We are looking forward to more wonderful activities to follow throughout the Film Gala.
