Recently, President Huang Changyong, together with colleagues from such functional offices as the party committee’s office & the president’s office, planning office, academic affairs office, scientific research office, admissions office and personnel office, were invited to visit the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Higher Education Press, National Centre for the Performing Arts and Central Academy of Drama for in-depth research and study, focusing on such matters as the key work of the "14th Five Year Plan" of STA and mutual cooperation etc.
On the 25th, the Department of Science, Technology and Education of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism held a forum on co-development, which was attended by 14 universities included for co-development with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The meeting mainly listened to suggestions and discussed specific measures on the needs of co-development work during the “14th Five Year Plan” period, the “Co-developmentTraining Project of Higher Art Education in Ethnic Minority Areas in Western China”, the co-development working mechanism and other related work. On behalf of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), President Huang Changyong attended the meeting and made an exchange speech at the meeting.
In addition, the STA delegation also went to the Higher Education Press to discuss the cooperation matters on the development of key textbooks during the “14th Five Year Plan” period; visited the National Centre for the Performing Arts with a focuson the cooperation projects on talent training between the two sides, and to complete the renewal of two strategic cooperation agreements and the agreement on students teaching practice base between STA and the National Centre for the Performing Arts; went to the Postgraduate Enrollment Division` of the Department of Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education to discuss relevant work. Finally, the STA delegation went to the Central Academy of Drama for a research and exchange visit. Xu Xiang, Party Secretary of the Central Academy of Drama, and his colleagues from relevant functional offices participated in the research during which the leaders of the two universities had in-depth exchanges on theexperiences and practices of their respective universities in personnel training, discipline development, faculty development and internal governance etc. The STA delegation also visited the infrastructure facilities on the new campus of the Central Academy of Drama including the Theater Center, Theoretical Teaching Building and Faculty Dormitory Building etc.
STA will further deepen the research outcomes of this trip to Beijing, explore and integrate the platform resources in talent training, textbooks development and industry-education integration, constantly improve the systems and mechanisms, and practically and steadily advance all kinds of work to build a high-level university during the "14th Five Year Plan".
