Inter-discipline, Integration and Innovation: Professor Zhang Zhongnian Talks on “STA Characteristics in the Building of Directing Discipline”
On the morning of 17 May 2021, as part of the lecture series of the Master Class onDirecting, the lecture entitled “STACharacteristics in the Building ofDirecting Discipline" was held in the Black Box Studio. Professor Zhang Zhongnian, the speaker of this lecturer, is a senior teacher of the Directing Department who usedto bea vice president of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) and dean of the Directing Department and has made a lot of research in and contributions tothe teaching of directing. Teachers and students of the Directing Department and trainees of the 2021 Master Class on Directing attended the lecture.

On the morning of 24 May 2021, Professor Yang Yang, vice president and doctoral supervisor of Shanghai Theatre Academy, vice chairman of Shanghai Writers Association and president of China Mao Dun Research Association, gave a lecture for all the teachers and students of the Directing Department and all the trainees of the 2021 Master Class on Directing in the Black Box Studio located in the Red Building.The theme of the lecture was "From Novel to Drama - Talking from Madman’s Diary, Dust Settled and Song of Everlasting Regret". This lecture was the second oneof the lecture series of the 2021Master Class on Directing.
