On the afternoon of 13 May, led by Xie Wei, Party Secretary, Li Zhenlin, Dean of the Film College, and Dong Jian, Vice Dean of the Film College of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), 47 teachers and students of the Film College of STA visited theIntegratedMedia Center of Songjiang District, and held in-depth exchanges and discussions on the path of media integration, the innovation of mechanism and system, the training and supply of talents and the development of student practice base etc with the hosts of Songjiang District.
Lu Zhongxin, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of CPC Songjiang District Committee, and Zhou Xianbo, Editor-in-Chief of the Integrated Media Center, accompanied STA visitors on the tour and provided the explanation. During the visit, the students of the Broadcasting and Hosting major experienced the broadcasting and hosting process of the “Songjiang News” program in the news studio and virtual studio respectively. When the teachers and students of STA visited the studio where the "Light of Songjiang" program was broadcasted, Zhu Shaoshi, the host of "Light of Songjiang" from the Integrated MediaCenter and an alumnus of STA from BA Broadcasting and Hosting 2000, invited Party Secretary Xie Wei to conduct a live interview as a guest speaker. As the audience, the students carefully watched and listened to the short interview.
Through the site visit, informative briefing and interactive communication, the teachers and students of STA gained a lot. They broadened their horizons, expanded their thinking, and tangibly felt the leading practice of Songjiang District in the development of media integration. They also had more thoughts on how to promote the high-quality cooperation between STA and the Songjiang IntegratedMedia Center going forward.
At the subsequent round-table discussion, Party Secretary Xie Wei put forward specific suggestions on the cooperation between STA and the Integrated Media Center of Songjiang District.
