The 8th Teachers’ Congress & the 4th Session of the 12th Trade Union Congress of Shanghai Theatre Academy is held

On the afternoon of 22 April, the 8th Teachers' Congress & the 4th Session of the 12th Trade Union Congress of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) was held. 108 formal delegates of the teachers' congress and over 50 non-voting delegates attended the meeting.


The first half of the meeting was presided over by Zhang Weiling, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of STA and Chairman of the STA Trade Union.

Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of STA, delivered the 2020 Administrative Work Report of Shanghai Theatre Academy. Zhang Jiachun, Chief Accountant, made a work report on the  Proposed Financial Final Accounts for 2020 and Proposed Financial Budget for 2021. Zhang Yunlei, Executive Vice Chairwoman of the STA Trade Union, delivered the 2020 Work Report of the Trade Union of Shanghai Theatre Academy. Fang Jun, leader of the proposal handling group, made the work report on handling proposals to the meeting.

Zhang Weiling reported on the holding of the second-tier teachers' congresses of Shanghai Theatre Academy. Zhang Yunlei informed the Congress of the results of democratic appraisal on STA leadership.


After the opening ceremony, the delegates were divided into nine groups to discuss the "2020 Administrative Work Report of Shanghai Theatre Academy" and the "2020 Work Report of the Trade Union of Shanghai Theatre Academy", and put forward suggestions for the future development of STA.

The second half of the formal meeting was presided over by Zhang Yunlei. The meeting adopted by vote the "2020 Administrative Work Report of the Shanghai Theatre Academy" and the "2020 Work Report of the Trade Union of Shanghai Theatre Academy. Zhang Yunlei read out the resolution of the meeting.

Finally, Xie Wei, Party Secretary of Shanghai Theatre Academy, made a speech. Party Secretary Xie Wei fully affirmed the work of the trade union and said that the trade union had just completed the alternation of its executive leader. On behalf of the university, he expressed his sincere respect and sincere thanks to Wang Su for her contribution to the university during her tenure as the executive chairwoman of the trade union. At the same time, he hoped that the trade union would bring more pleasant surprises and expectations to all teaching and administrative staff under the leadership of Zhang Yunlei, the current executive vice chairwoman.
