Recently, the Shanghai Theatre Academy Committee ofthe China Democratic League has received a number of good news. The Shanghai Theatre Academy Committee of the China Democratic League was awarded the title of "Advanced Basic-levelOrganization for League Affairs" for the 2020 calendar year by the Central Committee of the China Democratic League.
At the same time, the Central Committee of the China Democratic League also decided to commend the collectives and individuals who have made outstanding achievements in ideological and political construction and publicity work. In this commendation, 415 people across the country won the honorary title of "Advanced Individual in Ideological and Political construction and Publicity Work of the China Democratic League". Two of them were from the Shanghai Theatre Academy. They were Li Zhenlin, chairman of the Shanghai Theatre Academy of the China Democratic League, and Hu Ge, member of theShanghai Theatre Academy Committee of the China Democratic League.
As the chairman of the Shanghai Theatre Academy Committee of the China Democratic, Professor Li Zhenlin, dean of the College ofFilm, recently attended the 2021 session of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the China People’s Political Consultative Conference(CCPCC) in his capacity as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee.
At this year’s session of the CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Professor Li Zhenlin submitted three personal proposals and, at the same time, he and Professor Huang Changyong, member of the CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee and president of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, jointly submitted the proposal of "Recommendation for the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee (Shanghai Municipal Film Bureau) to Jointly Build Film Schoolswith Higher Education Institutions".
In addition to focusing on the development of Shanghai's film industry and the cultivation of film talents in his proposals, Professor Li Zhenlin, as a member of a democratic party, has shown great enthusiasm for the history of the founding of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai for many years, and has made proposals related to this for several consecutive years. 2021 is the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. At such a special point of time, he again submitted the proposal of "Several Suggestions on Deepening the‘CPC Birthplace Exploration and Publicity Project’in the Old Yuyangli”.
