On 1 January 2021, the Graduation Showcase & Job Fair for Graduates of 2021 of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) College of Dance was held at the Shanghai International Dance Center as scheduled. Despite the constraints as a result of the COVID-19 prevention and control, the employing organizations’ keen desire for excellent art talents was not stopped. The STA College of Dance has held more than ten annual job fairs consecutively, providing graduates with an increasingly broader platform for job selection and, at the same time, opening a channel for more and more business and institutional organizations to select and employ talents in a short-distance and all-round way.
This year's graduation showcase & job fair of the STA College of Dance was divided into four parts: teaching results demonstration, performance of original dance drama "Ju Zhong Ren", performance of quality dance works, and on-site job fair.

There will be 95 graduates from STA College of Dance in 2021. There are 88 undergraduate students, including 21 students majoring in ballet, 14 students majoring in international ballroom dance, 44 students majoring in Chinese dance, and 9 students majoring in choreography. And, there are 7 postgraduate students majoring in dance.
This year’s job fair attracted 77 employing from all over the country to observe the graduation showcase and recruit talents. Among them, there were 12 professional dance troupes, 7 secondary and tertiary dance schools, and employing organizations of other categories, such as children's palace, youth activities center and training institution etc.
After the job fair, a career talk was held, in which professional dance troupes, training institutions, performing arts companies and other employing organizations made detailed presentations on their recruitment needs, laying a foundation for the graduates in terms of future career planning and choice.
The STA College of Dance has always aimed to cultivate high-level dance performance talents, dance choreography and directing talents, and dance education talents with "positive moral character, broad foundation, refined professional skills and strong practical skills". It has adhered to the principle of taking moral education as the foundation, closely combines teaching with artistic practice, and constantly makes in-depth exploration in terms of the layout of specialties and direction of talent cultivation. It has formed its unique characteristics in training compound, high-level dance talents with comprehensive artistic quality and international vision.
