On 1 December, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) celebrated the 75th anniversary of its founding, and a plaque unveiling ceremony was held on the day to mark the official launch of the College of Film of Shanghai Theatre Academy.
The ceremony was held at the Changlin Road Campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy, and was presided over by Han Yongsheng, Party Secretary of the College of Film. Huang Changyong, President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, Ren Zhonglun, Vice Chairman of the China Film Association, Li Zhenlin, Dean of the College of Film of Shanghai Theatre, and Chen Xiaoda, Deputy Director of the Film Division of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee’s Publicity Department, jointly unveiled the plaque for the newly launched College of Film. Huang Changyong and Li Zhenlin delivered speeches respectively at the ceremony.
Also attending the ceremony were Zhou Yin’e, Deputy Party Secretary of STA, Zhang Weiling, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of STA, Yang Yang, Vice President of STA, Jan Schütte and Kees Van Oostrum, distinguished overseas professors of the College of Film, Feng Wei, Vice President (Asia Pacific) of the American Film Association, Rao Shuguang, former director of the Film Arts Center of China Federation of Literary and ArtisticCircles, Jiang Haiyang, national first-class director of Shanghai Film Group and consultant of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Gong Yu, CEO of iQiYi, Lu Xinyu, Dean of the Communication College of East China Normal University, He Xiaoqing, Executive Director of Shanghai Film Academy of Shanghai University, Zhao Bingxiang, Dean of theFilm and Media College of Shanghai Normal University, and relevant leaders of the Minhang District of Shanghai attended the plaque unveiling ceremony.
