The 2020 Yangtze River Delta Urban Culture Development Forum, i.e. the theme forum of the 3rd Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo, was held in the New Space Theater of Shanghai Theatre Academy on 20 November. The forum was jointly sponsored by the Shanghai Theatre Academy and the Shanghai Data Exchange Center, and was hosted by the World Urban Culture Collaborative Innovation Center of Shanghai Theatre Academy, one of the think tanks of Shanghai higher education institutions.
Huang Changyong, President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy and Director of the World Urban Culture Collaborative Innovation Center of Shanghai Theatre Academy, addressed the forum, and five well-known experts and scholars delivered keynote speeches.
The round table discussion of the forum was attended by nine experts and scholars. They expressed their opinions and put forward their suggestions on the formation of the Yangtze River Delta cultural community, the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta urban culture, the difficulties and challenges faced by the urban culture, the exertion of the characteristic advantages in the integrated development, and the complementary, integrated and shared development of cultural resources, and engaged in interactive exchange with the audience by offline and online means.
At this forum with the theme of "Build the Yangtze River Delta Cultural Industries Community", there were two things that attracted people's attention. The first was the launch of the “Chinese Cities Culture Report 2018-2019 (Yangtze River Delta), which was researched and compiled by the World Urban Culture Collaborative Innovation Center of Shanghai Theatre Academy in conjunction with the Yicai City Big Data Center and the Shanghai Data Exchange Center. The second was the release of the “Proposal for the Establishment of the Yangtze River Delta Urban Culture Development Alliance”, for which the Shanghai Theatre Academy is the initiating organization.
