On 21 October, the students from four campuses gathered at Building 2 on the Changlin Road Campus early to participate in the voluntary blood donation. The students from the Lianhua Road Campus were the first to arrive at the blood donation point and lined up neatly awaiting to be guided by the staff. The students from the Hongqiao Road Campus followed closely and signed up one by one at the check-in point. The students from the Huashan Road Campus also came to join. On that day, a total of 106 students successfully donated blood. They brought together the warmth of youth with caring love, and demonstrated the spiritual outlook of today’s college students with practical actions.
Voluntary blood donation is of special significance. Affected by the COVID-19 pandemic this year, blood collection and supply institutions in many places are in urgent need, and some patients who need surgery are in urgent need of life-saving blood. For many students, this was a brave attempt, and they used their own warm blood to show the mission and responsibility of today’s college students, and to help continue the hope of many lives.
