On 20 October, the College of Film and Television of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) successfully held the “Ceremony of Putting on University Badge for New Students" and the Party Day theme activity of its Party branch in the STA Changlin Road Campus.
This activity was based on the “Put on University Badge for New Students” activity which is a tradition of the broadcasting and hosting major of the College of Film and Television, and was extended to in include all Year 2020 new students of the College of Film and Television in combination with the Party Day of the College’s Party branch of the college. The purpose of the activity was to provide all new students and all teachers with the education of STA history and Party history through the artistic presentation of STA history and a solemn ceremony, so as to lay a solid foundation for the cultivation of qualified art talents needed by the Party and the people.
During the activity, the students vividly interpreted the glorious history of the Shanghai Theatre Academy with their poetry recitation, new style singing of the STA anthem, folk songs and dances etc, and made a brilliant mark for their first lesson as new students. Leaders and teachers put on the STA badge for the new students. The ceremony, which has been going on for 26 years, was deeply imprinted in the hearts of the students.
The event endedsuccessfully witha concluding speech given by Xie Wei, Party Secretary of STA. Party Secretary Xie Wei gave full recognition to this activity and hoped that the basic-level Party branches in STA would continue to carry forward the advantages of art-based ideological and political education, always keep the glorious history of STA in mind, and work further to combine the ideological and political work with art education.
