ChenPingyi, male, national first-class performer, director of Jinghu ArtResearch Association. He studied Jinghu at the age of six. He waseducated at Beijing Opera School and Shanghai Opera School, andworked for Shanghai Peking Opera Theatre. In 2011, he received amaster's degree in fine arts from Shanghai Theatre Academy. Helearned from Cong Hongkui, Cai Guoheng, You Jishun, Gao Yiming, JiangFengshan and Yu Hualong. In 2005, 2007, and 2011, he held three soloJinghu concerts in Shanghai. He composed and performed the famousJinghu song Flying Swallow, which won the Shanghai ExcellentWorks Award. In 2005, under the invitation of the Korean government,he visited South Korea with a Chinese youth delegation organized bythe Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. Later, hevisited Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other regions. In 2006 hecomposedSong to Clear Breeze on thetheme of fighting corruption and advocating integrity.

InOctober 2007, Chen won the gold medal of the first National JinghuGrand Prix. In 2011, he was selected as Shanghai Cultural Vanguard,his interiew was published in the first edition of Wen Wei Baonewspaper. On September 30, 2011, a solo Jinghu symphony concert washeld at the Taipei National Concert Hall. On December 6, 2012, a soloJinghu symphony concert was held at the Great Hall of the People inBeijing.

Hehas worked with famous Peking opera artists Shang Changrong, MeiBaojiu, Li Bingshu, Xia Huihua, Guan Zhengming, Chen Shaoyun, YuKuizhi, Li Shengsu, Guan Dongtian, Shi Yihong, Kang Wansheng, LanWenyun, An Ping, Li Guojing, Wang Peiyu, etc.
