He is now the generalsecretary of the Party branch and vice President of the Dance Academyof Shanghai Theatre Academy, head of the second-level dancediscipline of Shanghai Theatre Academy, deputy editor-in-chief ofResearch on Contemporary Dance Art, director of ShanghaiDancers Association. He studied at Modern Dance School in London,England.

Hehas published The Art of Dance Drama. His works includeHistory of Chinese Dance, Appreciation of Dance, Appreciation ofChinese Dance History and Works, Foundation of Dance Science,etc. He wrote six works including The Shadow Dancing, The Longpoetry, The Long Silk Road and Spring Breath as well as dancedrama scripts.
