ZhangWeipin, male, professor. He is a member of Chinese DramatistsAssociation, Shanghai Dramatists Association and China LiteratureCritics Association, as well as the Council member of Hubei AestheticSociety and the Japan Theatre Society. He went to Japan twice as asenior visiting scholar and visiting professor at Osaka University.
Hisbooks includes: New Languages of Peking Opera, CriticalBiography of Yan Ju Peng. He published Wrote the volume "PekingOpera" of Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Series. Hepublished papers such as: Style and Sect: One of the Criticisms ofPeking Opera Genre Attributes, The Twentieth Century: ChinesePerformance and Western Culture-Beijing Center Center, TheTrend of Peking Opera in the 20th Century and the Influence ofWestern Culture, Interests and Features-Criticism on theAttributes of Peking Opera Schools Part II, Artistic Analysis on theVoice of Yan Jupeng.
Hehas undertaken many research projects such as the National SocialScience Foundation of Arts and Shanghai Municipal Education andScientific Research Projects. He was the person in charge forShanghai's key course Interpretation of Opera Repertoire. Hiswork won the 6th National Book Award and the First Prizeof the 2nd National Excellent Art Book.
