On the morning of 31 August 2020, according to the arrangement of the Party Committee of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), Zhang Weiling, deputy secretary and vice president of STA, presided over the special meeting on the opening of the Fall Semester 2020, focusing on the full implementation of the requirements set by relevant documents of the “Guidelines of COVID-19 Prevention and Control for Higher Education Institutions and Secondary Vocational Schools in Shanghai for New Semester Opening (Third Edition)” and on discussing matters in relation to STA’s batch-based opening of the fall semester. Shen Liang, director of the academic affairs office, and Li Dongmei, director of the student affairs office, as well as deputy secretaries of the Party branches, head teachers, counselors and persons in charge of the work related to graduate students from various colleges and departments, attended the meeting.
Deputy party secretary Zhang Weiling first conveyed the spirit of the “Guidelines of COVID-19 Prevention and Control for Higher Education Institutions and Secondary Vocational Schools in Shanghai for New Semester Opening (Third Edition)”. Shen Liang, director of the academic affairs office, stressed the importance to ensure effective control at the entry point of COVID-19prevention and control on campus, pay attention to provide guidance and do a good job in education and publicity. Li Dongmei, director of the student affairs office, explained in detail the “Work Plan of for the Opening of Fall Semester 2020 of Shanghai Theatre Academy”. Finally, deputy party secretary Zhang Weiling wrapped up the meeting and set forth the specific work requirements.
