According to the deployment of the Party committee of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) and the "four histories" study plan of the school itself, on the afternoon of 11 August, the Party general branch of the Chinese Opera School Affiliated to STA ("the school") organized 36 Party members to explore the cultural attractions around the prosperous Xujiahui commercial area, with successive visits the Shanghai Film Museum, Xu Guangqi Memorial Museum, Shanghai Meteorological Museum and Tushanwan Museum, as one of the activities to push forward the "four histories" study and education.

From a large number of precious objects, images, pictures and written materials, the Party members reviewed and traced the vicissitudes of history and the memory of the city, appreciated and felt the hardship and perseverance from the success and failure experienced by generations of strivers. The predecessors walked through the mud, stepped down the rough road, and finally paved the golden road leading to the bright future.

For the Chinese Opera School Affiliated to STA, the "four histories" study is not only beneficial to the progress of the work of the Party general branch, but also helpful for the teachers and staff to understand the historical context, fundamental policies and current development of the country. It will also play a positive and favorable role in promoting the implementation of various policies and measures. We will continue to earnestly carry out the "four histories" study and education in accordance with the unified deployment of the Party committee of STA and the requirements of the school's own “Implementation Plan on the Study and Education of the History of CPC, the History of New China, the History of Reform and Opening-up, and the History of Socialist Development".
