Recently, the finals of the 2020 Entrepreneurship Competition of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) came to a successful end. This entrepreneurship competition attracted many students and alumni within five years of graduation to participate, with a total of 48 teams, which doubled the number of last year. The competition also received an entrepreneurial subsidy of RMB 150,000 from the Jingan District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau under its “Entrepreneurship Support Program”.

After review, the project of "Building the World Theater - Children's Stage Design Studio" stood out from all participating teams and won the first prize. The winner, Bao Le’er was a student of Year 2012 majoring in stage design. After graduating from STA, he went to work as a teacher of fine arts, to do stage design, to run art exhibitions, to open model shops, and to do curriculum design. All these accumulation and actual business practice have provided him with a solid foundation for winning the first prize this time.

"When I was at STA, there were often graduates of previous years who were successful in entrepreneurship came back to the school to share their successful experiences and entrepreneurial insights with us." Bao Le’er said, "Generally speaking, students of STA have strong practical ability. As long as the time and opportunity are right, they are quite suitable for entrepreneurship. If I want to share my experience, I think we should first treat the entrepreneurship with sincerity, and we should listen to both good and bad proposals, choose what is best, and adopt all the good ideas. Secondly, we should take action, not just talk about it, but do it when the time is right."
