In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and strengthen the study and education of "four histories", on the afternoon of 11 June, the No.6 Party branch and the Party branch of College of Continuing Education came to visit the former site of Shanghai Laozha Police Station on 101 Guizhou Road, Huangpu District.
The former site of Laozha Police Station is now part of Shanghai Business and Tourism School, and it was where the May 30 Movement which shocked the whole country and the world broke out. Members of the two Party branches first visited the office building of the police in the British concession at that time and the training and practice base of the Shanghai Tourism and Business School, and then held a discussion session on "four histories" study in the conference room on the third floor. During this activity, members of the two Party branches reviewed the history of the May 30 Movement, learnt the revolutionary tradition and spirit, and discussed the thoughts and ideas of the reform and development of the College of Continuing Education in combination with the broadened vision brought by visiting the training and practice base.
Zhang Jiachun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and chief accountant of Shanghai Theatre Academy, summed up the Party Day theme activity.
