In 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the employment situation is rather tough. The CPC Committee of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) attaches great importance to the work concerning the graduating students, solidly promotes relevant measures concerning the employment, puts stabilizing employment as the top priority, actively expands diversified employment channels, and effectively provides the employment service and support for graduating students.
On the afternoon of 29 May, led by Lu Weidong, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of CPC Nantong Municipal Committee, the delegation of CPC Nantong Municipal Committee visited STA to recruit press workers and artists. Xie Wei, Party Secretary of STA, personally recommended the outstanding graduates of STA to the hiring organization from Nantong, and actively helped to promote the employment for graduates in 2020. He said that STA will actively meet the needs of Nantong Radio and Television station for outstanding talents, and strive to explore the possibility of both sides establishing a student pre-employment internship base in the future.
Lu Weidong introduced the achievements of Nantong's rapid development in recent years, and expressed Nantong’s thirst for high-end media workers and artists the first modern city of China as the entrance of the Yangtze River, and extended the warm welcome for outstanding graduates trained in STA to go to Nantong for career development, and to become new residents of Nantong.
Zhang Hui, Director of Nantong Radio and Television Station, introduced the specific selection criteria for various news anchor, stage, lighting and audio positions, as well as the preferential policies for talents attraction. The relevant heads and persons-in-charge of STA’s College of Film and Television, Student Affairs Office, Office of CPC Committee/President’s, and Youth League Committee made specific connection with the representatives of the Nantong side.
Lu Weidong and his party also visited the film studio, broadcast studio, voice studio, set room and equipment room on STA’s Changlin Road Campus, and got a deep understanding of the future planning of the STA Centre of Film, Television and New Media.
