The Annual Sessions 2020 of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the China People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee which were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, recently concluded successfully in Beijing. Wang Su, Member of the CPPCC National Committee and Executive Vice Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), talked about her feelings about the two national annual sessions at a roundtable meeting with the United Front personages held by STA .
At the roundtable meeting, Wang Su conveyed the spirit of the government work report made by Premier Li Keqiang and the CPPCC work report made by Wang Yang, Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, and shared the key points and main highlights of the two reports.
Wang Su also gave a brief introduction of the four proposals and two reports on social conditions and public opinions that she had submitted. The four proposals are “Proposal on the Cultivation of Oral Expression Ability in Chinese Language Teaching”, “Proposal on Attaching Importance to and Cultivating High-quality Social Workers”, “Proposal on Strengthening the Management Mechanism for Services Given by Expatriates in China” and “Proposal on the Co-construction of the Two Art Universities in Shanghai by Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Shanghai Municipality”. The two reports on social conditions and public opinions are Make the Naming of Western Medicine Easy to Understand and Remember and How to Make the Whole People Better Share the Benefits of “Invaluable Assets Brought by Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains".
Wang Su said that as a representative of the cultural and art circles, she will earnestly study and deeply understand the spirit of the reports of the two national annual sessions, give full play to the spirit of “fighting the COVID-19 pandemic with art”, consciously take responsibility, take the initiative, shoulder the responsibility of literary and art workers as soon as possible, and transfer positive energy for the society. As a member of the CPPCC, she will better perform her duties and responsibilities, fully reflect the voice of the people, understand people's conditions, relief people’s concerns and warm people’s hearts. At the same time, she will use her own cultural and artistic expertise to create works that satisfy the people and contribute wisdom and efforts to the development of our country.
