The opening ceremony of the special Party lectures sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Education and Public Health Working Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held in the Duanjun Theater of Shanghai Theatre Academy on 21 May. The party and administrative leaders of Shanghai Theatre Academy attended the special Party lectures.
This series of special Party lectures demonstrated the great spirit of go forward over hardships and dangers through the real stories of CPC organizations and CPC members of Shanghai’s education and health system who worked in the front line of fighting COVID-19 pandemic
Speakers at the special Party lectures included medical experts who have made outstanding contributions in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic such as Zhang Wenhong, director of the infection department of Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Zheng Junhua, leader of Shanghai’s first medical team in support of Hubei and vice president of the Shanghai No.1 People's Hospital, and Zhong Ming, Shanghai’s first medical expert in support of Hubei and deputy director of Intensive Care Unit of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University and medical workers who have put themselves in harm’s way to save lives in the front line, as well as teachers and university student volunteers who worked persistently on other fronts in the prevention and control of COVID pandemic.
Tian Yuan, a counselor at Shanghai Theatre Academy, narrated the touching deeds of counselors of all colleges and universities in Shanghai, including Shanghai Theatre Academy, who concerned about students, cared for students and protected students during the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Shanghai Theatre Academy provided strong professional and logistic support for the special Party lectures. As early as July 1st (the birthday of CPC) last year, Shanghai Theatre Academy, as one of the first 15 colleges and universities to be selected for the “Project Great” demonstration Party lectures of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Education and Public Health Working Committee, launched the drama-based Party lectures Always Cherish Original Aspiration, Further Strengthen Cultural Self-confidence. It is on this basis that Shanghai Theatre Academy will continue to polish the brand of drama-based Party lectures and write a new chapter for the in-depth implementation of the learning and education of the History of the Communist Party of China, the History of New China, the History of Reform and Opening-up and the History of Socialist Development (i.e. the “four histories”).
