From 21 to 22 May 2020, the annual sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the National Committee of China People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which are of world interest, opened in Beijing. Postponed for more than two months due to the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, these meetings have once again attracted the attention of the whole world. Under the background of major strategic achievements in the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic in China, these meetings reflect the firm confidence, great consensus and strong determination of the whole nation to forge ahead, and also unite and inspire the whole nation to taken on the mission bravely when our country is determined to fight poverty and build a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way.
Through different channels such as television, radio, newspapers and the Internet, the teachers and students of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) watched and listened to the opening of NPC and CPPCC National Committee annual sessions in various ways. They enthusiastically discussed the government work report made by Premier Li Keqiang, and deeply and earnestly studied the spirit of the NPC and CPPCC National Committee annual sessions. The teachers and students of STA responded warmly to the successful opening of NPC and CPPCC National Committee annual sessions, and expressed their confidence and determination to forge ahead.
