STA holds employment promotion meeting for graduates of 2020

In order to actively deal with the implication of COVID-19 pandemic on the employment of graduates and further promote the employment for graduates, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held the employment promotion meeting for graduates of 2020 in the conference room of Zhong Yi Building of Huashan Road Campus on the morning of 11 May. Zhang Weiling, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of STA, attended and spoke at the meeting.

This was an important meeting for our university to fully respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and achieve the goal of stabilizing employment for graduates of 2020. At the meeting, the Student Affairs Office reported on the employment promotion for graduates of 2020 in terms of the current progress of employment for graduates, the spring remote job fair, the online entrepreneurship competition, and the 24365 (i.e. 24 hours and 365 days) career guidance and service, etc. The colleges and departments took turn to report the details, measures, mentality and existing problems of the students' employment at the current stage, and exchanged work practice and shared experience with each other.

After listening to the reports, Zhang Weiling gave full recognition to the recent employment promotion measures of the school, and put forward clear requirements for properly carrying out the employment promotion for graduates under the new situation.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, STA has vigorously promoted online recruitment and career guidance services, and actively provided graduates with resourceful online recruitment platforms and personalized career guidance services in the form of cloud-based” recruitment procedures, “cloud-based” two-day selection job fair and “cloud-based” job application skills guidance. Next, the University and the colleges/departments will continue to perform their respective duties and coordinate with each other to effectively improve the effectiveness of employment services, effectively improve the effectiveness of employment services, ensure that graduates' employment will not be widely impacted, and steadily advance the employment promotion for graduates of 2020 through practical and effective measures.
