In the afternoon of 30 April 2020, the Functional Departments No.2 Party Branch held its organizational life event of April via the online platform. This event was divided into two parts, i.e. online participation in the Same Class for Teachers and Students of Shanghai Theatre Academy activity, followed by the branch’s study and sharing session.
As the first part of the event, the members of the branch first listened to the ideological and political class delivered by Xie Wei, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), on the topic of Achieve Butterfly Transformation under the Major Test of Epidemic Outbreak and Shine in the Struggle. During the subsequent study and sharing session, the members of the branch studied the spirit of the Fourth Session of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC Central Committee and the Fourth Plenary Session of the 11th Shanghai Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, as well as the spirit of the relevant documents issued by the Party Committee and the Commission for Discipline Inspection of STA on strict party governance and professional code of conduct of for teachers of STA, and exchanged the views on three matters, i.e. performing the function of discipline inspection and supervision, the progress of performance assessment and evaluation, and the process of drafting and revising professional code of conduct for teachers of STA. In addition, Dong Jian, vice dean of the STA College of Film and Television, was invited to talk about the production of the anti-epidemic radio drama Target: Wuhan. Created by the faculty team of the STA College of Film and Television, this radio drama was launched on Himalayas FM, the online radio platform, on 14 April. The meeting also reviewed the work flow drill in preparation for the school re-opening, and also conveyed the information on matters such as the “Warm Heart” activities of the STA Trade Union.
All participants expressed that they will fully understand and study the spirit of these meetings and documents conveyed at the organizational life event of the Party branch, follow closely and support such major tasks as the fifth round of discipline evaluation as well as the major and degree assessment undertaken by the Ministry of Education, the university classification evaluation of Shanghai, and STA’s planning for the 14th Five Year Plan period with practical actions, and meet new challenges at their best.
