In order to actively respond to the call of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for CPC members and implement the requirements of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee on mobilizing CPC members to make voluntary donations of money to support the prevention and control of novel coronavirus outbreak, the CPC Committee of our school quickly organized all general branches and directly affiliated branches to guide all teachers and students who are CPC members to make voluntary donations of money. The members of the school leadership took the lead in donating money through their respective CPC branches to support the epidemic prevention and control with practical actions.
The donation campaign was organized, and the donation payments were made through such internet-based financial platforms as Alipay and WeChat. At present, the donation campaign involving all teachers and students of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) who are CPC members is still continuing. The funds raised through this donation campaign will mainly be used to benefit medical workers, officials and other individuals at the working level, police officers, and community workers who are working tirelessly in the frontline of epidemic prevention and control; provide financial aid to people who suffer from pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus and encounter difficulties in living, as well as families of people who died of pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus; and benefit the families of officials and other individuals who sacrificed their lives in the epidemic prevention and control.
Besides and prior to the donation of funds by CPC members, teachers and students of our school have enthusiastically donated major prevention and control materials such as masks, multi-functional air disinfection machines, medical gloves, goggles, protective suits and so on, thereby making positive contributions to the epidemic prevention and control through the ways within our capabilities.
The donation actions of teachers and students of STA bear the determination and courage of all STAers to help each other and overcome the difficulties. It is hoped that teachers and students of our school can unite as one, work together, and be determined to win this people's war, total war and blocking war for epidemic prevention and control.
