On February 28, the second batch of 1400 masks donated by the College of Film and Television of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) finally arrived at the Huashan Hospital. On February 9, the STA College Film and Television learned from Tong Tong, a Class of 1988 alumnus of the STA Department of Directing, that there was a source of supply of professional medical masks from Mexico. After confirming with President Sun of the Huashan Hospital that the goods were reliable, we immediately organized a second fund-raising for the donation of masks, which was completed within two hours. The participating teachers all expressed that they would like to make an unnamed donation (i.e. not showing their own names). Therefore, the donation was made in the collective name of the STA College of Film and Television College. It was touching and inspiring that after learning about the donation channel of the STA College of Film and Television, many teachers and alumni from other colleges and departments of STA also joined, making the quantity of donation increase rapidly. This trust was based on the blood gene of STA, on the simple love and gratitude for front-line medical workers, and on the deep loyalty to and strong self-confidence in our great nation. “What we donate are not only masks, but also trust”, said the teachers.
