On the afternoon of 19 December, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held a farewell meeting for teachers and staff retired in 2019, which was held in the retired personnel activity room and attended by eight teachers and staff retired this year.
President of STA Huang Changyong and Vice President of STA Zhang Weiling attended the farewell meeting, as well as the relevant persons-in-charge from the trade union, organization department, personnel department, retired personnel affairs office and Party general branch for retired personnel.
The meeting was presided over by Zhang Weiling, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of STA and Chairman of the STA Trade Union. President Huang Changyong first spoke on behalf of all teachers, students and staff. He hoped that retired teachers and staff would continue to care about the development of STA as always. He asked that the functional departments directly related to retired teachers and staff (such as personnel department, trade union and retired personnel affairs office etc) should do even better in both functional work and providing service. At the same time, he also hoped that retired teachers and staff would often come back to visit STA as their home, and continue to give opinions and suggestions for the development of STA. The persons-in-charge from various functional departments also thanked the retired teachers for their contributions to STA over the years.
At the meeting, the teachers and staff who just retired this year were all filled with emotion. Many of them had worked in STA all their lives, witnessing the development of STA and the growth of teachers and staff of younger generation. They all have a strong feeling of belonging towards STA, and many of them are still active in some roles.
At the farewell meeting, the retired teachers and staff also made some suggestions on the development of STA and expressed their views on the problems encountered in the current development. The words were full of feelings of retired teachers and staff towards STA.
