On 17 November, the 2019 Shanghai Theatre Academy Teaching Award Selection Session organized by the Academic Affairs Office was successfully held in the No.1 Physical Training Studio and the Red Building Classroom 207 on the Huashan Road Campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA).
The purpose of this teaching award selection session was to strengthen the construction of teachers' morality and style, implement the curriculum-based ideological and political education, encourage teachers to research, exchange and improve in the process of teaching in teaching, guide teachers to take undergraduate teaching as the fundamental basis, and give play to the exemplary role of high-achieving teachers in teaching.
On this occasion, nine teachers from different colleges and departments participated in the selection session, fully showing the characteristics and styles of teaching in different disciplines. STA invited experts from Fudan University, East China Normal University, Shanghai Normal University and Shanghai University as well as experts from within STA to form the selection panel.
Liu Qing, Vice President of STA, expressed sincere thanks to the experts of the selection panel for their hard work. He pointed out that the goal of holding the selection was to improve the quality of undergraduate teaching in STA, and that every teacher involved should be encouraged and respected. He hoped that the experts of the selection panel would carefully carry out the evaluation work in a careful and thorough manner, and put forward pertinent suggestions on the teaching performance as shown during the teaching demo, so as to help the teachers participating in the selection improve their deficiencies and improve their level.
In a tense, orderly, intense but joyful atmosphere, with their own teaching styles and different course-specific teaching forms, the participating teachers engaged in a wonderful teaching exchange session.
The teaching award selection is only a form. It is not only a selection session, but also an important teaching research activity. It is an opportunity for teachers to engage in professional exchange and improve their teaching ability. We should guide teachers to pay attention to teaching, dedicate to teaching, engage in teaching exchange, so as to create a teaching atmosphere that is undergraduate-centric” under the guidance of curriculum-based ideological and political education in the entire STA, and guide teachers to enjoy teaching and enjoy sharing in the course of delivering teaching.
The teaching award selection has come to an end for now, but the atmosphere of teachers enjoying teaching and enjoying sharing will continue to grow and spread.
