Recently, the folk dance teachingresearchoffice ofthedance performancedepartment ofthe College of Dance has planned a series of teaching and research activities in order to further improve the teaching ability and comprehensive quality of teachers through teaching research. In the first phase of the activity,ateacher fromtheXinjiang Arts University was invited toconducta Uygur dance training workshop for professional teachers of folk dance andstudents of BA ChineseDance2018, and this was alsothe first-ever exchange between theCollege of Dance and Xinjiang Arts University.
In a few days oflearning and exchange, the teacherfrom the Xinjiang Arts University taught two stylistic combinations. Through the study of these two combinations, the teachers of folk dancemajor have further deepened their understanding and mastery of the style andaesthetics of Uygur dance style,as well as traditional customs and living habits of the Uygur ethnic group.
On the evening of 28 September,theteachers and students of folk dance major reported and displayed their learning achievements. The main leaders of the College of Dance attended the reporting event.Some of the teachers who participated in the workshop introduced the learning process and shared their learning experience.
