Opening report meeting of "Contemporary European and American Drama Studies", an art studies major project of National Social Science Fund of China in 2019, is held successfully

On the afternoon of 20 September, the opening report meeting of the art studies major project of the National Social Science Fund of China "Contemporary European and American Drama Studies" was held in Shanghai. The chief expert of the project is Professor Gong Baorong of the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Yang Yang, Vice President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, Wu Aili, Director of the Research Division of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and Yu Qianhe from the Social Science Division of the Department of Science, Technology and Education of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, attended the seminar and delivered speeches.

Professor Gong Baorong, the chief expert of the project, and the leaders of the sub-projects from Nanjing Audit University, Nankai University and Wuhan University respectively elaborated on the different situations of their respective sub-project, and listened carefully to the opinions and suggestions of the evaluation experts present at the meeting. The seven evaluation experts from Xiamen University, Nanjing University, Central Academy of Drama, Zhejiang University, Shandong University of Arts, Fudan University and Wuhan University respectively gave constructive views and important suggestions on the project and provided corresponding solutions. Relevant professors from Peking University and Tianjin Normal University also attended the meeting and made important remarks. In addition, teachers and postgraduate students of Shanghai Theatre Academy and external scholars also sat in the meeting.

At last, Professor Gong Baorong, on behalf of the project team, expressed his gratitude to the leaders and experts for their support and encouragement, and promised to effectively push forward the objectives of the project, produce a batch of high-level and influential achievements, and live up to the expectations of the academic community.
