On the evening of 14 June, the “Last Lesson under Wisteria” Shanghai Theatre Academy Class of 2019 Graduation Party for Graduate Students was held in the New Space Theatre. Xie Wei, Party Secretary of STA, Yang Yang, Vice President of STA, and leaders and teachers from the Graduate School and other functional departments attended the graduation party. With the theme of “Advance with Dreams, Live up to Glorious Youth”, this graduation party gave the best wishes to the graduating graduate students, who came together to experience a pleasant and precious last lesson.
At the beginning of the graduation party, six representatives of master's and doctor's graduates of the Class of 2019 first voiced the “aspirations under wisteria”. They reviewed and summarized the gains and regrets in their life as graduate students with such keywords as “vitality, English, enrichment, sincerity, drama, dream, perfection”, sincerely and genuinely expressing the memories of STA in the mind of graduates. Subsequently, the handover ceremony for the student Party branch and the graduate student union was held between the representatives of Year 2016 graduate students and Year 2017 graduate students; the current students presented suitcases to the graduating students, as a token of blessing for their start of a new journey. Party Secretary Xie Wei warmly congratulated the graduates of the Class of 2019 on their successful graduation. He hoped that graduates could bring the talent, knowledge and temperament of the STAers in their pursuit for perfection, and give back to their alma mater and society with the feelings of home and country.
Then, the graduates of the Class of 2019 gave wonderful artistic performances. The fun games during the interval of the graduation party were also very lively and gave rise to unceasing laughter throughout the audience. The lucky draw full of good surprises ignited the mood the whole audience, and produced the “Luckiest Graduate of Class of 2019”. Finally, the song “Moni Mountain” pushed the graduation party to the climax. Time always flies, three years is like an instant, and the scene of just entering STA seems to be only yesterday.
At the end of the graduation party, Li Zhenlin, the head of the Graduate School family, gave a speech on the stage, expressing his best wishes to the graduates, hoping that the graduates would commit to one thing and do it well in their lives, and devote to research and engage in their specialized areas. At the time of graduation, we don't say goodbye!
At this point, the “Last Lesson under Wisteria” Class of 2019 Graduation Party for Graduate Students was “dismissed” on time. Thank you for the efforts of all involved in making the party a great success. With the gratitude to the three years of being together, we sincerely wish that the graduates of Class of 2019 master’s and doctoral programs would “advance with dreams and live up to glorious youth”.
