In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China and publicize the achievements of the student financial aid policies of the Party and the state, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and several other units co-sponsored the “Thank you, my motherland – The Fifth Student Financial Aid Achievement Report Performance of Jiangsu Province”, which was held in the theatre of the Nanjing Arts University on 30 May. As one of the organizers, the ShanghaiStudentAffairsCenter invited the men's group dance “The Soul of Heroes” of the College of Dance of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) to perform at the event on behalf of Shanghai. The organizers fully affirmed and highly appraised the performance of “The Soul of Heroes”. Wang Tao, deputy director of the ShanghaiStudentAffairsCenter, and Ge Min, chief of the Financial Aid Management Department of the ShanghaiStudentAffairsCenter, attended the performance and extended their best wishes and greetings to the performance team of the STA College of Dance. Litchi Network and other networks broadcast the whole event live. According to statistics, more than 5.2 million viewers watched the performance online.
As part of the STA’s “Walking Classroom” series of activities, Yin Yuerong and Liu Jianming, deputy Party branch secretary of the College of Dance, and teacher Liu Jianming led the dance work “The Soul of Heroes” choreographed by teacher Wang Li to perform in Nanjing. Through this activity, on the one hand, the students could deeply feel the financial support and care of the Party and the state for students and, on the other hand, after the performance, the students were organized to visit the Exhibition of Historical Facts of Nanjing Massacre for a vivid patriotic education class together with the teachers.
