The Second General Meeting of the Returned Overseas Chinese Federation of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) was held on 29 April, during which the re-election of its committee was successfully held.
The meeting was presided over by Yi Tianfu, Director of the United Front Department of the CPC Committee of STA. Song Huaiqiang, Chairman of the First Committee of the STA Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, delivered the work report on behalf of the First Committee.
According to the agenda, the General Meeting considered and adopted the Rules for the Work of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Shanghai Theatre Academy, and adopted the proposed list of members of the Second Committee. Zhang Weiling, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of STA, was elected Chairman of the Second Committee of the Federation of Overseas Chinese of STA; Zhang Yunlei, Director of the International Exchange Center, and Fang Jun, Secretary of the Party Branch of the College of Creative Studies, were elected Vice Chairwomen, and Fang Jun was also appointed Secretary-General; Zhang Weipin of the College of Chinese Traditional Opera, Wang Qi of the College of Dance, Zheng Yaodong of the Department of Stage Design, and Liao Weijing of the College of Film and Television, were elected members of the Second Committee. Zhang Weiling made a statement on behalf of the new leadership group of the STA Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.
Zhou Yin’e, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of STA, expressed warm congratulations on the successful convening of the General Meeting and the election of the Second Committee. She expressed heartfelt thanks to all members of the First Committee for their hard work and contributions, and put forward her expectations for the work of the new Committee.
