On 19 April 2019, led by Wang Ying, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Division and Deputy Director of the Postgraduate Student Affairs Division, a delegation of 6 teachers and 10 students from the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts (NACTA) visited the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA). From the STA side, Li Dongmei, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Division, Xu Jing, Secretary of the Youth League Committee cum Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Division, and representatives of student counselors from various colleges and departments participated in the meeting and had a cordial exchange with the members of the NACTA delegation
At the meeting, Li Dongmei, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Division of STA, first extended a warm welcome to the NACTA delegation. She introduced to the delegation the basic situation of STA’s Student Affairs Division and Youth League Committee as well as the characteristics of the drama + ideological and political education model of STA’s student affairs work. Wang Ying, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Division of NACTA, thanked STA for the reception and, at the same time, introduced NACTA’s student affairs work and ideas. The two sides exchanged views and conducted in-depth discussions on the ideological and political work pertaining to students, the construction of the second classroom, the employment of students and the construction of the student counselors team in the new era. The two sides jointly expressed the need to learn from each other's experience in student affairs management, to find the possibility of carrying out cooperation and exchange projects in the future, to explore new opportunities, new ideas and new directions for the construction of campus culture in the two schools, and to establish a deep friendship between the student affairs and youth league teams of the two schools and develop it on a long-term basis.
After the meeting, the teachers of the Student Affairs Division of STA accompanied the NACTA delegation on a STA campus tour.
