On the morning of 20 April 2019, the Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Painting Exhibition, co-sponsored by the Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Association and the Department of Stage Design, was officially opened in the front hall of the Duanjun Theatre on the Huashan Road Campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy. The exhibition displays 29 excellent paintings by 13 retired artists who are members of the Retired Professors Association.
Tang Chuanming, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Retired Professors Association, Xie Wei, Party Secretary of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Zhou Yin'e, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Committee, Zhang Weiling, Vice President of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Yang Yang, Vice President of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Dai Ping and Hu Miaosheng, retired leaders of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Zhou Benyi, Honorary President of Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Association, Li Jianping, President of Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Association, Zhou Baodi, Vice-President and Secretary-General of Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Association, and Liu Haiqing, Secretary of Party General Branch of Retired Personnel, attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Yi Tianfu, Dean of the Department of Stage Design.
Li Jianping, President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Association, and Yi Tianfu, Dean of the Department of Stage Design, delivered speeches successively. Tang Chuanming, Executive Vice President of the Shanghai Retired Professors Association, congratulated the Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Association on the opening of the painting exhibition. On behalf of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, Party Secretary Xie Wei thanked the Shanghai Retired Professors Association for its support and guidance to the work of the Shanghai Theatre Academy regarding the retired professors. He thanked the Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Association for their cooperation with the Department of Stage Design in presenting such as visual feast for everyone and in providing a platform to retired professors for their artistic exchanges. He also thanked the retired artists participating in the exhibition for their efforts in the brilliant achievements that the Shanghai Theatre Academy has accomplished in the past. At the same time, he hoped that they would continue to play an important role in creating greater glories for the Shanghai Theatre Academy in the future. Finally, he announced the Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Painting Exhibition open.
On that day, nearly 100 members of the Shanghai Theatre Academy Retired Professors Association, teachers and students attended the opening ceremony. The painting exhibition will end on 26 April.
