The 29th Shanghai Magnolia Award for Theatre Performance Art was announced on the evening of 22 March 22 at the grand award ceremony held at the Shanghai Grand Theater. Two major productions, three generations of actors and four people from the Shanghai Theatre Academy won the award. Liu Zifeng, who played the role of Grandpa Chen in the drama Song of Life co-produced by the Shanghai Theatre Academy, the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Jinshan District Committee and the Shanghai Shangyi Drama Society, won the best leading role award, An Zhenji, who played the role of Uncle Wu, won the best supporting role award, and Hu Kenv, who played the role of Dudu, was nominated for the best supporting role award for new artist. Li Chuanying, who played the role of Xu Songfeng in the drama “Stories of Xu Village” co-produced by the Shanghai Theatre Academy, the Minhang District People’s Government of Shanghai and the Shanghai Shangyi Drama Society, won the best supporting role award and ranked the first among all winners of the best supporting role award.
