After the historically meaningful visit to Dominica, the teachers and students of the affiliated Chinese Traditional Opera School of the Shanghai Theater Academy arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 22 May local time. On the same day of arrival, the delegation held a workshop on Chinese traditional opera at the Catholic University of Buenos Aires, which was well received by local university students. The students went on the stage to try and experience personally and asked questions enthusiastically. At that moment, there was a strong fusion of the Chinese and Argentina cultures. Yang Chuanying, counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina, and the dean of the School of music of the Catholic University, also took part in this activity.

On the morning of the 23rd, the delegation set out again to take part in the Argentina Iguassu International Youth Music Festival. With the support and facilitation of the China International Cultural Exchange Association and the Shanghai International Cultural Exchange Association, this was the forth time that the Chinese Traditional Opera School affiliated to Shanghai Theatre Academy has participated in the Iguassu International Youth Music Festival representing China. The students completed two special performances of folk music and five rehearsals of full band ensemble as well as the performance at the closing ceremony. Every activity has brought great new gains to the students. The students won lasting applause at the special performances, which was a reflection of the Argentina people's love for Chinese culture and their appreciation of the students' exquisite techniques, as well as an expression of the students' full confidence; the students and the children of other countries conducted a collaborative rehearse of the theme music “Perfect Conjugal Bliss”, with more than 150 violins and 50 Cello playing together. Through this spectacular event, all participants gained the wonderful experience of cooperation, fraternity and sharing. The Iguassu Falls has kept the beautiful portraits of the students and the hearts of Iguassu people have kept the wonderful sound of music brought be these children from Shanghai, China. It is hoped that the music, as the universal language, presented by more than 700 performers from 21 countries through their concerted efforts would light up Iguassu and the world, as well as illuminate the growth path of every child.
