The 2018 China Performing Arts Custom Design Exhibition will be held in the Huayi Creative Industry Park, Fuzhou Municipality from28 to 30 April. The “Turn of Century – World Costume Design Exhibition is one of the important sections of the event. Professor Pan Jianhua of STA will participate in the exhibition as a representative of Chinese designers and bringing the recent costume design expression and production for Verdi’s opera “Nabucco”, thus becoming the only Shanghainese representative among the selected Chinese and international masters.
Professor Pan pays attention to the integration of the educational concept of combining the classical dramas with the actual practical creation into the teaching and creation. The works selected for this event is one that he has led the graduate students and undergraduate students to design and produce together. In the process of teaching and coaching, he has paid much attention to improving the professional capability through practical creation. Professor Pan is a senior professor of stage costume, and his monographs "Stage Costume Design and Technology", "Drama Costume Design and Expression by Hand-Painted Effect Drawings" and "Design and Expression of Modern Costume for Chinese Traditional Opera" are the designated textbooks for the relevant domestic universities and colleges. He has achieved fruitful results in both professional theory and creation of theatrical works.
