On 24 April, the knowledge service system training session as part of the Reading Day activities of the Shanghai Theater Academy Library (STA Library) was successfully held in the multi-function hall on the first floor of the library of the STA Library.
Mr Mao Jiayao of the Chaoxing Group was invited to the session to explain the “knowledge service system” to the teachers and students of STA.
The "knowledge service system" is divided into six parts, which are www.qikan.chaoxing.com, www.sslibrary.com, www.duxiu.com, www.blyun.com, www.zhizhen.com and www.yz.chaoxing.com. The system focuses on the multi-terminal interaction and shared learning as well as the integrated utilization of resources.
To date, the STA Library has realized the one-stop retrieval of electronic books, periodicals and newspapers through the “www.zhizhen.com” platform and, at the same time, has launched the mobile terminal application of the www.yz.chaoxing.com” APP which can be accessed by all teachers and students of STA using their student number or staff number as the username. The introduction and use of this APP has broken the disadvantages that STA’s electronic resources can only be used within the campus allowing smooth log-in and utilization outside the STA campus thus becoming better suited to the current needs of the teachers and students of STA.
Through this exchange and learning opportunity, the teachers and students have had a clearer understanding of the functions of the electronic resources purchased by STA. It is hoped that this system will provide effective assistance to the teachers and students of STA for their academic research and thesis writing.
