On 18 January 2018, Mr Zhang Weiling, Vice President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) and Chairman of the STA Trade Union, visited STA's recipients of the Model Worker Award and May Day Medallion and presented the flowers to them on behalf of the university and trade union, and expressed the desire to learn from the model workers and carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship on behalf of all staff of STA.
Currently, at STA, Ms Dai Ping and Mr Zhang Weiling are the recipients of the National Model Worker Award and National May 1 Labour Medal, and Mr Lu Jun, Mr Fan Hesheng, Ms Zhu Meili, Mr Tang Zuping and Mr Yang Xinhua are the recipients of the Model Worker Award of Shanghai, and Ms Pei Jing is the recipient of the May Day Medallion of Shanghai. They are the concentrated reflection of the humanistic spirit and teachers’ virtue of STA, and represent the selfless dedication of one generation of STA staff as in craftsmen in arts.
