On 10 December 2017, the internal trail show of "Forging the Swords", the graduation performance of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) was held in the STA Experimental Theatre. This drama is adapted from a novel of the same name in Lu Xu's collection of short stories called “New Stories” and is jointly produced by STA and Beijing Drive Culture and Media Co Ltd with the funding support from the Beijing Culture and Arts Fund. The production is directed by Grzegorz Jarzyna, famous Polish director and artistic director of the TR Warszawa, and performed by teachers and students of various department of STA and well known actors and actresses from home and abroad with excellent image vocabulary and body shape to re-construct the old stories and create the post-modern style of cold glamour. After the show, Mr Jarzyna joined the teachers and students for their post-performance talk.
