On 30 November at 12.30 pm, the Autumn Staff Games 2017 of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) kicked off in the square in front of the STA Experimental Theatre. The badminton competition of the games had been held earlier at an external venue. After a series of competitive matches, the championships for men's single, women's single and mixed double etc were decided.
During the opening ceremony of the games at the main venue, the leaders of STA including Chairman Lou Wei, President Huang Changyong, Vice Chairman Hu Min and Vice President Zhang Weiling joined all participants of the games in doing the radio gymnastics. The spirit of unity and collaboration fluttered over the campus with the flying national flag and cheerful music of the ninth version of the radio gymnastics.
When the games formally began, the participants eagerly proceeded to their respective competition sites. Although it is called a competition, it is actually a friendship event of fun. In accordance with the principles of healthy, athletic, interesting and lively, the events of this year’s games combined tradition with innovation. There were traditional games of the old Shanghai lanes and also young and energetic games.
The annual autumn games is a significant event of STA, which covers the three campus including the affiliated Chinese Opera School and Dance School and involves all members of STA from leadership and each staff to participate and share the happiness. In this small campus, we use the more harmonious atmosphere and more united spirit to interpret the deep feeling that each member of STA has towards the school.
