(Special survey meeting in progress)
On 1 December, a group six officials from the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SMEC) visited the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) for a special survey, including Zheng Yihui, Director of Student Affairs Division, Wu Nengwu, Deputy Director of Student Affairs Division, Zhu Hongmei, Deputy Director, Student Affairs Centre, and three others. Huang Changyong, Vice Chairman and Vice President of STA, participated in the meeting with the SMEC officials, together which the heads and staff concerned of the relevant functional offices of STA, including Xu Yong, Director of CPC Committee’s and President’s Office cum Director of Publicity Office, Liu Zhixing, Director of Student Recruitment Office, Guo Chenyan, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office, Xu Jing, Secretary of Youth League cum Deputy Director of Student Affairs Office, and three others.
Zheng Yihui, Director of Student Affairs Division, SMEC, first introduced the main purposes of this research visit and hoped that a further and deeper understanding of STA’s situation in the recruitment of undergraduate students, student registration management, degree management and student employment related matters would be obtained through the research visit. It was the first time that the Student Affairs Division of SMEC has carried out a fully-covered survey on STA.
Huang Changyong, Vice Chairman and Vice President of STA, extended the welcome to the officials of SMEC’s Student Affairs Division and provided an introduction focusing on the overall situation of STA’s reform in the recruitment of undergraduate students since 2011.
Liu Zhixing, Director of Student Recruitment Office, Guo Chenyan, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office, and Zhang Guoli, person in charge of student employment promotion at Student Affairs Office, provided the detailed report on the relevant aspects of STA’s work respectively.
After the reporting session, the officials of SMEC’s Student Affairs Division had a tour of the STA campus to inspect the standardized examination rooms and enrollment scoring system and discussed with the heads of relevant offices of STA on specific issues such as student recruitment process, supervision mechanism and confidentiality measures.
