At the invitation of the Ministry of Culture, a 20-membr performing arts management delegation from Taiwan visited the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) on 31 October 2017. The delegation’s visit was part of the “Cross-strait Arts Tour”, a cross-strait exchange activity in performing arts jointly organized by the Chinese Culture Friendship Association and the Quanta Arts Foundation of Taiwan. The members of the delegations were comprised of operators and producers of the major performing arts venues and performing arts troupes in Taiwan. STA was one of the destinations on Taiwan delegation’s itinerary for Shanghai. The visitors from Taiwan and the relevant personnel of STA exchanged ideas on the cultivation of art management students, the production practice of students, the teaching of performance planning and the incubation of script projects.
President of STA Huang Changyong participated in the exchange with the Taiwan delegation, together the relevant persons-in-charge from STA’s Creation Centre, College of Creative Studies, Performance Centre, STA Theatre, and Office of Hong Kong and Taiwan Affairs.
