Yesterday (September 18) was the first day of the 2017-2018 school year at the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA). At 8 am, Chairman of STA Lou Wei, President of STA Huang Changyong and Vice Chairman of STA Hu Min, together with the heads of the relevant functional offices, departments and colleges, went in separate groups to the Huashan Road Campus, Lianhua Road Campus and Hongqiao Road Campus respectively for an inspection of the teachers’ teaching, students’ attendance, classroom discipline and teaching environment.
The inspection results have shown that on the first day of the new school year, the teachers and students were full of energy, the teaching order is well maintained and all kinds of work were carried out in an orderly manner. The campuses were embraced in a rich learning atmosphere and the teachers and students were in a high spirit welcoming the start of the new semester. During the inspection, the STA leaders also went into the classrooms where they talked cordially with the teachers and students encouraging them to establish clear goals, study hard and achieve a holistic development. STA identifies the morality and whole-person education as a core task and will implement its educational philosophy and teaching reform measures in the actual teaching practice.
