On the morning of 15 January, Mr Felix Matos Rodriguez, Dean of CUNY Queens College led a 7-Member delegation to Shanghai Theatre Academy. STA President Mr Han Sheng Gong and Vice President Gong Baorong received the guests.
CUNY Queens College known as "the Pearl of the City University" is characterized by diverse cultural background and student groups. This visit to Shanghai Theatre Academy by the Queens College delegation was initiated and facilitated by Professor Yin Mei Crichell, aiming to explore with Shanghai Theatre Academy the potential cooperation in the areas of student and teacher exchange, advanced studies for teachers, international cooperation projects and journal publication. During the meeting, President Han Sheng started by introducing the basic situation of Shanghai Theatre Academy and talked about the transition of China’s higher education from the structure of the pyramid to trapezoid and then to parallel. Both sides also discussed Triangle Project brought forward by Queens College and reached the preliminary agreement to seek opportunities for possible cooperation in dance and new media.
