In the afternoon of 28 November, Shanghai Theatre Academy joined hands with The Long Museum in holding the “STA Phenomenon – Inspiration and Development” exhibition and seminar events. STA leader Lou Wei, Han Sheng, Hu Min and Gu Yu attended the events together with the persons-in-charge of the relevant functional departments of STA, representatives of teachers and staff and representatives of students totalling several hundred people.
1 December 2015 will be the 70th anniversary of STA. Over the past 70 years, STA has cultivated more than 10,000 talents in the art and related areas. Many of them have become famous artists making great impact in the areas of theatre, Chinese traditional opera, film, television, dance, design and scenography not only in China but also in the world. In the fine arts and design along, STA has produced a galaxy of world renowned artists including Li Shan, Cai Guoqiang and Chen Zhen.
STA Phenomenon has continued since the 1970s. It has gradually attracted the attention of the people of insight in the culture, art and education circles.
STA Phenomenon is a phenomenon in progressive tense, including this exhibition at The Long Museum itself. Also, it is not a “perfect tense” process, but one in which everything continues to happen and advance. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of STA, the partnership, interaction and exchange between cultural and educational institutions on the basis of their respective strengths is highly beneficial to the promotion of teaching and academic studies, vitalization of art appreciation activities for general public and prosperity of urban culture.
